I had started reading when I am in primary3. As English was the worst subject in primary school, my teacher encouraged us to start reading storybooks in order to gain vocabulary and do well in the English paper. My primary school had a small library which enable us to read chinese storybooks, newspaper and so on.
Our school also had a small book fair held every year. During those period, I will sprint to the recess and bought the books which entertained me the most.And during weekends, my parents will take me to the national library. There, I will mostly spent five hours reading novels or inference books etc.
Over the years,I had benefited a lot from reading books. My grade for English increased from grade C to A. It all thanked to books, especially the book called "New concept English 1". I had just read a book called"Nothing But The Truth". I think it is a very good book. In conclusion, I felt that reading is very important. It helpes us in writing, vocabulary and even grammar.
